HOW PERSONAL IS EVANGELISM?
ROMANS 1:14-17

INTRODUCTION:
    A.    Christians are indebted to those in sin; Romans 1:14
          1.    Jesus told the apostles; Matthew 28:19-20
          2.    Mark’s record states; Mark 16:15-16
    B.    The early church (even in persecution) left us an example; Acts 8:3-4

          2.    The only hope for the world is the shared gospel; Romans 1:16

I.    EVERY CHRISTIAN IS A PRIEST:  
    A.     A priest will sacrifice himself for the Lord and others; I Peter 2:5; 
            Romans 12:1-2
    B.    As a unit Christians make up “a royal priesthood”; I Peter 2:9
          1.    We are children of the king; Galatians 3:26
          2.    We have been called into the kingdom of God; I Peter 2:9
          3.    The priesthood has a mission; I Peter 2:9
    C.    Peter tells us to give diligence in the things of God; II Peter 1:10

II.    EVERY CHRISTIAN IS RESPONSIBLE BEFORE GOD; II Corinthians 5:10
    A.    Individual salvation demands individual action; Philippians 2:12
    B.    Every Christian is to prepare himself in the word of God; I Peter 3:15
    C.    Paul told Timothy to be a worker for the Lord; II Timothy 2:15

III.    HOW PERSONAL IS EVANGELISM?  Romans 1:14-16
    A.    We owe a debt to others; Romans 1:14
          1.    You, like the rest of the world, were once lost; Romans 6:17
          2.    Every Christian is to share the message as much as he is able; 
                 Romans 1:15
    B.    We must realize the hopelessness of the sinner; Ephesians 2:11-12
          1.    Jesus asked; Mark 8:36
          2.    Even at its best, life is short; James 4:14
    C.    We must let the love of Christ motivate us; II Corinthians 5:4
          1.    Christ loved and died for us; John 3:16; Romans 5:8
          2.    We were dead in sin, by love we are made alive; Ephesians 2:5
          3.    We are indebted to share the blessing; Romans 1:14-17

CONCLUSION:
    A.    Every Christian is to use the abilities he/she is given for serving God
    B.    If you were the only Christian left in the world, would the world come to know                                Jesus?
