DOES THE LORD KNOW YOU?
MATTHEW 7:15-23
INTRODUCTION:
A. Many have been deceived into believing false doctrines
1. All will be saved; Romans 1:16-18
2. Some deceive themselves; James 1:22
B. We can be sure:
1. God knows all things; Hebrews 4:13
2. God does not know those who reject His word, in a favorable way; Matthew 7:21
3. All will answer to God in the end; Colossians 4:1
C. Many claim to know the Lord while failing to do His will; James 1:6-8
D. Our study today “Does the Lord Know You?”
I. THE QUESTION: “DOES GOD KNOW YOU?”
A. Does not reflect on God’s ability to know; Hebrews 4:13
1. God sets the standard for fellowship; II Corinthians 6:14-18
2. He will judge with righteous judgment; II Corinthians 5:10
B. The inspired writer stated; I Corinthians 6:9-10
C. God refuses to know, give favor, to the unrighteous; I John 1:6
D. God turns away from the disobedient; Isaiah 59:1-2
E. Jesus stated; Matthew 7:23
II. “DOES GOD KNOW YOU?”
A. Jesus calls all to obedience; John 12:32
1. He stated; Matthew 11:28
2. Paul wrote; Romans 1:16
B. God knows, acknowledges, those who obey His word; Matthew 7:21
1. Paul wrote; Galatians 3:2
2. The church at Rome was told; Romans 10:17
3. The word of faith must be believed and accepted; Hebrews 11:6
4. Jesus stated; John 12:48
5. To obey the Lord one has to confess Christ; Romans 10:10
6. To obey the word of the Lord one has to be baptized into the body of Christ; I Corinthians 12:13
C. When one has been baptized into Christ, he is required to be faithful to the word; Revelation 2:10
CONCLUSION:
A. Many claim to know Christ, without merit; I John 2:3
B. The real question is “Does The Lord Know You?”
