          A.        Life is filled with troubles, trials, and sorrows

          B.        Often feel alone and forsaken; Matthew 10:34-38

          C.        We have one friend who will never forsake us; Hebrews 13:5

          D.       Our study; “God’s Transforming Power”

I.          GOD LOVES MANKIND:  John 3:16

            A.        A show of true love; Romans 5:8

            B.        The words of Christ to Jerusalem; Matthew 23:37

            C.        Jesus suffered that we might live; I Peter 3:18

            D.        He “laid down His life for us”; I John 3:16; 4:9-11


II.        GOD WANTS ALL OF MANKIND TO BE SAVED:  I Peter 3:9

            A.        Jesus paid the price for our sin; I Corinthians 6:20

            B.        He offers escape from condemnation; John 12:32; Matthew 11:28-30

            C.        Salvation is promised to all who obey; Matthew 7:21

III.       GOD OFFERS HIS BEST TO MANKIND:  James 1:17

           A.        Abundant blessings; Ephesians 1:3; 3:20-21

           B.        All Spiritual blessings; Ephesians 1:3; Matthew 6:26-30

           C.        Security for the soul; Romans 8:1; II Peter 1:5-11; I John 5:13

IV.       GOD’S POWER CAN TRANSFORM EVEN THE VILEST OF MEN: Romans 12:1-2

           A.         Transformation calls for obedience; Revelation 22:17

           B.          Provides a way of escape; I Corinthians 10:13

           C.          No sin too great; Acts 22:16

CONCLUSION:

           A.          God is for us; Romans 8:31

           B.           He offers salvation to all; Romans 6:23

           C.           Will you accept His offer and obey the will of God? Matthew 7:21
